I have been involved with purebred dogs my entire life, having purchased my first German Shepherd when I was 19. Years later while training a German Shepherd in obedience I became ”hooked” on competition. I discovered the Puli breed in the mid-1970’s while at Westminster and was instantly attracted to them because of our shared “Hungarian” heritage. I have focused on this breed since that time under the Moonshadow prefix. I have breed approximately 80 champions and obedience titled dogs, including Best in Show and National Specialty winners with dogs titled in England, Denmark and Australia, as well as top producers in the breed. In the early 1990’s we added Norwich Terriers to our pack. I currently live with 4 Pulik and one amazing German Shepherd.
I’ve been involved with several dog clubs, including the Puli Club of America, Putnam Kennel Club, Saw Mill River Kennel Club and past member of the Greenwich Kennel Club. I am approved to judge the Herding and Terrier Groups, as well as 12 Working breeds. I have judged the Puli Club of America National Specialty in 2002, 2008, 2014, 2019 and 2024, as well as the Puli Championship show in Great Britain, the Norwich Terrier breed at Montgomery Kennel Club, and at Westminster Kennel Club.

My first recollection of a dog show was attending the Fall Fun Match for the Fort Dearborn Basset Hound Club in 1960. A couple of years later we had new dogs and I could start showing in Junior Showmanship. That didn’t last long, as I qualified for Open Class in 5 shows and had to wait until I was old enough then for Open. I qualified 5 consecutive years for the Westminster KC Junior Finals, placing 3rd in 1967. My family continued showing dogs while I was in college. While there I began judging Junior Showmanship in 1974, the first person under the age of 21 so approved. Upon graduating from Iowa State University I began managing horse shows, specifically Hunter/Jumper and Arabian “A” rated horse shows for the American Horse Shows Association. While doing that I became an “R” Steward, equivalent to an Executive Field Representative at dog shows. In 1983 I married Nancy Sheehan and began handling dogs professionally under the SHOWS, etc. banner. We were quite the duo, setting many breed records for several breeds. In 2013 we hung up our leads and I began a new career with the American Kennel Club as an Executive Field Representative. I served in the position until COVID-19 struck. With all this behind me I have come to my latest adventure, Judging! I am approved to judge all Hound breeds, the Hound Group, Best in Show and all Miscellaneous breeds, plus Permit status for Bracco Italiani, Golden Retrievers, Clumber Spaniels, Spinoni Italiano, Alaskan Malamutes, Bernese Mt Dogs, Black Russian Terriers, Bullmastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Great Danes, Great Pyrenees, Leonbergers, Portuguese Water Dogs, Samoyeds, Japanese Chin, Tibetan Terriers, Australian Shepherds and Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. I am looking forward to being a part of this inaugural venture between the American Kennel Club and the Federacion Canofila Mexicana!

Dr. Donald Sturz began participating in the sport of dogs as a child and was ranked as the number one Junior Handler in the U.S. for three consecutive years. Dr. Sturz has bred, owned, and handled All-Breed and Specialty Best in Show winners and nationally ranked dogs in a variety of breeds, most notably Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and Pekingese.
Dr. Sturz began judging in 1990 and has adjudicated at major all-breed and specialty shows worldwide, including ten times at the Westminster Kennel Club show and Best in Show at Westminster in 2022. In 2020, he was voted Judge of the Year at the Purina Pro Plan® Show Dogs of the Year awards ceremony.
Dr. Sturz currently serves as the President of the Westminster Kennel Club. He is also a member of the Westchester Kennel Club, the Poodle Club of America, the Pekingese Club of America, the Bull Terrier Club of America and the Progressive Dog Club.

Breeding under the world-famous Clussexx prefix, he has produced more than 250 AKC Champion's. Dogs from his kennel have won more than 180 Best in Show awards and 20 national specialties wins across four breeds.
Mr. Johnson holds the distinct honor of producing two Westminster Best in Show winners, and he is the only breeder of Westminster Best In Show winners in two different breeds. One was the Sussex Spaniel, Stump who as a veteran of 10 years, is the oldest dog to ever win Best in Show at Westminster.
Mr. Johnson began his judging career in 2000. He was awarded American Kennel Club's Sporting Breeder of the Year award in 2005, Judge of the Year Nominee for 2017, and a Winkie Award Winner for Breeder of the Year in 2019.
He is approved to Judge 6 groups in the AKC system, all Sporting, Hound, Working, Toy, Terrier and Non-Sporting. He has had the privilege of judging at some of the most prestigious shows in the AKC system, Westminster 7 times Including the Hound Group and Sporting Group (twice), and AKC Invitational 5 times to name just a few.
A founder in the Canine Conservation movement, Mr. Johnson, strives to be a voice for all breeders who work tirelessly to produce and promote their breed of choice. The honor of judging your breed clubs National Specialty is not lost on him. Advocating for dogs is a passion, but also a responsibility to insure the successful longevity of unique breeds. Together we must continue to foster the best breeding practices to keep breeds from extinction.

Eddie Dziuk has been actively involved in the sport of purebred dogs for nearly 50 years. He obtained his first Beagle in 1977 and finished its championship as a junior owner handler. He’s never been without the breed since. He has bred or owned more than 75 Beagle champions, including 5 National BOB Winners, and 11 BIS Winners. His 3 best known dogs remain “Judy” Ch. Lanbur Miss Fleetwood, the top winning 13” Beagle of all time, and the two Westminster BIS winners, “Uno” Ch. K-Run’s Park Me In First, and “Miss P” Ch. Tashtins Lookin For Trouble. In addition to Beagles, Eddie has also bred Miniature Pinschers and Norfolk Terriers, and has bred and owned BIS and National Specialty Winners in both of these breeds as well.
Eddie began judging in 2009, and is currently licensed for the Sporting, Hound and Toy Groups. He has judged in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the UK.
Professionally, Eddie holds a BS in Economics, and an MBA from University of Missouri. For the last 25 years, he has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) where he has the unique opportunity to combine his business and management experience with his love of dogs and passion and interest in canine health. He is a full time advocate for the purebred dog, and canine health & welfare promoting responsible dog ownership and breeding practices.

At the age of 14 I cashed in all my savings to buy my first horse. I rode and showed hunters and jumpers through college before starting my career at a major bank where I just celebrated my 30th Anniversary. It was through my involvement with horses that I learned to appreciate and understand movement, soundness, and conformation.
I bought my first Bulldog in 1997 from Showtime Bulldogs and found my passion again, this time in dogs. At the same time I acquired my first Standard Manchester Terrier. I had a great time with “Tucker” who became a top winning dog honored nationally at the breed, group, and specialty level. In 2010 I went back to Showtime Bulldogs and acquired my first French Bulldog. I have been fortunate to have bred Bulldogs and French Bulldogs recognized with multiple Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, multiple Group, and multiple Specialty show wins.
I am a French Bulldog Breeder of Merit and never end a day without learning more about my foundation breeds as well as many others as I pursue my passion as an AKC judge. I currently judge the Non Sporting Group, Toy Group, Terrier Group, BIS and seven sporting breeds.

Michael Canalizo has spent many years in the Dog Show World as a Breeder/Owner, Professional Handler, turned Judge. His first exposure to his primary breed: the Afghan Hound came in 1961 as a member of “the typical Hobby Breeder family” with their purchase of “Babu Bamn of Grandeur”. He showed his families home-bred dogs through five generations of their own small breeding program. His relationship with the Afghans of Grandeur spans over 60 years. He has owned, shown, and lived with many other breeds, among them: Salukis, Dachshunds, German Shepherd Dogs, Whippets, Border Collies, Parson, and Russell Terriers.
He was the Breeder/Owner/Handler of the Top Winning Hound of All Time
(Ch. Triumph of Grandeur) with 87 BIS wins until a daughter of his dog
(Int. Ch. Tryst of Grandeur) broke that record with 161 BIS. He has won 2 Top Owner Handler Awards and 6 Quaker Oats Awards. Collectively he piloted over 100 Afghan Hounds to their Championships recording 300 All-Breed Best in shows and nearly 1,000 Hound Group awards in the breed, including Top Dog of the year in 1995.
He is currently approved to judge BIS, All Sporting, Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding breeds plus breeds in the Working group. He has officiated at events in 38 countries to date.
Michael is a member of the Afghan Hound Club of America, Westbury Kennel Association and the Morris and Essex Kennel Club.
Michael Canalizo’ s credentials include developing and presenting dog-related educational seminars worldwide, 30 years as an OHA Handling Instructor, feature writing, and working as a contributing editor for numerous national and international publications. He was an AKC Executive Field Representative and held the position as director of AKC Event management from 2005 to 2016.

Randy purchased his first toy poodle in 1966 with his lawn mowing money when he was 12 years old, bred his first litter a year later and went to his first dog show in 1968. He has bred approximately 65 champions including Poodles, Dachshunds, Norfolks and Chihuahuas. Randy and his husband, Dennis McCoy, bred the top winning black poodle ever (all varities) Ch. Randenn Tristar Affirmation. Known as Yessie, she won 103 all breed BIS.
Dennis and Randy finished more than 1,000 champions and won over 500 all breed BIS. They also showed the top winning non-sporting dog in history, Ch. Lake Cove That's My Boy with 169 all breed BIS and his grandfather Ch. Whisperewind On A Carousel with 105 all breed BIS. "Peter" was BIS at Westminster in 1991. Team Randenn piloted CH. Spotlight's Spectacular, a Dalmatian, to 66 all breed BIS making her the top winning Dal of all time.
Randy began judging in 2000 and is approved for five groups. A very popular arbiter in the US, he has also judged in Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Japan, China and Australia.
